Why we recommend it

Landsea Tours & Adventures has been showing visitors Canada's west coast since 1985. It runs small-group tours by spacious mini-coach, SUV or van, with door-to-door transport and several hotel pick-up points, which saves visitors the work of planning transport to attractions outside the centre. Small groups also mean more time with the guide. In 2025 it received a Viator Experience Award, among other recognition.

The shortest option is the Vancouver Highlights Tour, about three and a half hours, which gives an overview of the city and suits a first day. Longer tours combine the city with major attractions: one adds the Vancouver Lookout and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park over about six and a half hours, and another spends about seven hours on the North Shore at Capilano and Grouse Mountain.

Landsea's day trips are a good way to see the region without a car. The Whistler, Shannon Falls and Sea to Sky Gondola tour lasts about ten and a half hours and includes a stop at Shannon Falls and a ride on the Sea to Sky Gondola, while the winter version visits Whistler, the Squamish Canyon walk and Mamquam Falls in about ten hours. The Best of Squamish is a shorter trip of around seven and a half hours. The longest is Victoria and Butchart Gardens, a full day of twelve to thirteen hours that crosses to Vancouver Island for Victoria and the Butchart Gardens. Several of these tours run only in certain seasons, so check dates when you plan.

The company also caters for cruise passengers, with pre- and post-cruise tours that fit around sailing times from Canada Place, as well as private tours and transfers, including to Whistler. Booking online at least seven days ahead brings a discount on public tours, so plan early if you can.

These tours suit visitors with limited time, families who want transport handled for them, older travellers and anyone without a car who wants to see Whistler or Victoria in a day. The day trips are long, so check what is included and where stops are planned before you go.

As tour prices and seasonal schedules change through the year, check the Landsea website for current details and pick-up times from your hotel before you book.
