Why we recommend it

1932 Trevi opened in March 2025 in the lawns of Santha Bagh, on Kalyan Path near the Police Memorial in the Rambagh area. The name and theme refer to a maharaja's journey to Italy in 1932, and the centrepiece of the garden is a fountain inspired by the Trevi Fountain in Rome. The space was designed by Shantanu Garg, combining rich interiors and a Romanesque fountain with local cultural motifs, and the bar quickly appeared on lists of Jaipur's best new places to drink.

Much of the seating is outdoors, under old trees, with candlelight in the evening and live music. The open-air setting makes it particularly pleasant in the cooler months, roughly October to March, and on warm spring evenings.

The cocktails mix Italian ideas with Rajasthani ingredients. The Trevi Paloma uses a plum and Mathania chilli cordial with tequila, the Plum Mathania brings the same local chilli into play, and Symphony No. 41 combines whisky, cherry vinegar and mint. The Cat's Eye uses hazelnut-aged rum with a vegan foam.

The food menu reinterprets Italian classics through an Indian lens. Highlights include a corn tempura cake with gondhoraj lemon gel, Trevi fried chicken with gribiche sauce, cacio e pepe, jackfruit korma tacos, Jodhpuri kabuli rice and a wild rice kheer with hibiscus and vanilla. Outlook Traveller put the cost at around 4,500 rupees for two, placing it towards the upper end of Jaipur's bar scene.

The bar's fusion of Italian and Rajasthani ideas reflects a wider trend in Jaipur, where a new generation of venues is reworking local ingredients such as Mathania chillies into contemporary menus. For visitors, it offers a very different evening from the palace bars, with a garden atmosphere that feels more like a private party than a hotel lounge.

1932 Trevi suits couples, celebrations and groups wanting a stylish evening outdoors with good food. Booking is sensible, especially at weekends and on live music nights. Santha Bagh is in the Rambagh area, a short drive from Rambagh Palace, the Albert Hall Museum and MI Road, so it fits well after a day of sightseeing. Dress smart casual and bring a light layer in winter, as evenings outdoors can feel cool.
