Hidden behind a barbershop in Bangsar Shopping Centre, Three X Co ranked number 32 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026 and was named the best bar in Malaysia.
Good to know
Three X Co is the highest-ranked bar in Malaysia and a must for anyone serious about cocktails. It ranked number 32 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026, which also named it the best bar in Malaysia, and it has been on the list since 2021, when it entered at number 47; in 2025 it climbed as high as number 15. Founded in 2017 by three friends, it has become a fixture of the Klang Valley cocktail scene.
Part of the fun is finding it. The bar is tucked away on the third floor of Bangsar Shopping Centre, and you enter through a pop-up barbershop, a playful nod to the speakeasy tradition. Once inside, the dimly lit, cosy room draws on The Great Gatsby, with bottle-green walls, gold accents, dark leather furnishings and vintage glassware. It feels like a hideaway from the shopping centre outside.
The drinks are the reason to come. The menu is made up of inventive original cocktails, created under the guidance of veteran bartender Amanda Wan, and it changes over time, so ask the bartenders for recommendations based on the spirits and flavours you enjoy. Prices are in line with other top cocktail bars in Asia, higher than a casual pub but fair for the quality and creativity. If you are new to the bar, sitting at the counter is the best way to watch the team at work and talk through the menu.
Three X Co opens in the evenings from Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sundays. It is popular, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, so arrive early in the evening or contact the bar in advance; check its website or social media for current hours and booking details before you go. Dress is smart casual. The bar suits couples, small groups of friends and solo drinkers who enjoy craft cocktails; it is not the place for a big rowdy group.
Bangsar is a dining and nightlife district south-west of the city centre, and Bangsar Shopping Centre sits in its residential heart. A taxi or ride-hailing car is the easiest way to get there and back, especially late at night. Combine a visit with dinner in Bangsar beforehand, or with Aliyaa, the Sri Lankan Bib Gourmand restaurant in nearby Bukit Damansara.
