Arsenal Want To Secure Services Of £10m Italy Youth International
Arsenal are allegedly in competition with Leicester in the hunt to sign Empoli starlet Samuele Ricci in the summer.
The 19-year-old star has impressed for the Serie B outfit this season – chipping in with two goals and four assists in 29 league games.
And according to Tuttomercatoweb, his displays haven’t gone unnoticed as the Foxes and Gunners look to bring him to England.
They state that both sides have made contact with the player’s entourage about a potential move at the end of the campaign.
And Empoli may be forced to cash in on the midfielder to avoid losing him on a free in 2022 when his deal expires.
Understood to be one of the country’s most promising talents, Ricci has been a key player for them since breaking into the senior team in September 2019.
It has been suggested that Empoli could be prepared to do business should they receive a sum in the region of £10 million.
As well as Arsenal and Leicester, Serie A side Napoli are another club believed to be interested in securing Ricci’s services.
As well as Ricci, the Gunners have been linked with Rennes’s Eduardo Camavinga as Mikel Arteta looks to land a new central midfielder.
Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma is another player believed to be on the North Londoners’ radar following an excellent season with the Seagulls.
